Pieni karkunkierros / Little bear tour
Along the day route, called the scenic route, you can admire the magnificent nature of Oulanka: sparkling rapids, steep cliffs and sheltered forests. In addition to the magnificent sights, Pieni Karhunkierros offers a diverse range of species including Lappish anemones and wild strawberries. The route is easy to walk and 3 suspension bridges are crossed along it.
Könkään kuohu
Experience the roars of the downhill of the handsome Kiutakönkä, enjoy beautiful river nature and bright pine forest on the unobstructed route of the hill. The unobstructed route of Könkää kuohu leads even the smallest members of the family to the roar of the Oulankajoki river, the lush river nature and beautiful pine forest. Enjoy a snack at the lovely campfire site, surrounded by riverside vegetation
and next to the rapids. From a wide path paved with crushed stone you can admire the lowest hills of Kiutaköngä with a walker, wheelchair
just like with prams.
Karkunkierros
Finland’s most popular hiking trail, the legendary Karhunkierros trail, takes you to the best places in Oulanka National Park, to the sparkling hills. The Karhunkierros trail offers hikers plenty of eye candy and sweaty kilometres. Karhunkierros is a summer route. Hiking season: late May – October. The Karhunkierros trail runs through diverse landscapes and varied terrain through Oulanka National Park all the way to Ruka. Along the route there are heath forests and groves, ridges, fells, rocks, swamps and duckboards, hanging and wooden bridges, gentle and challenging ascents and steep descents – as well as breathtaking landscapes. This Route must be travelled at least once in a lifetime.

Näränkä Self-sufficiency house, moutain
